Charles Daoud

Based in Montreal, Canada, Charles is internationally recognized for his work with major clients, such as Netflix and Broadcom, as well as his innovative typefaces, including the ever-popular Dense, which have been downloaded by millions of users.

In 2017, he led the development of the Radio-Canada typeface, in collaboration with the public broadcaster – a project that earned him a Grafika Grand Prix as well as not only being published in the Communication Arts Typography Annual, but also making its cover.

Since 2018, he has regularly contributed to the visual design of title treatments for American series and films, including Tom & Jerry in 2021 and The Count of Monte Cristo in 2024.

Recognized as a leading figure in identity design, he has served as a jury member for several notable competitions, from the inaugural IDEA competition in 2020 to the 2025 edition of the Applied Arts Design Annual.

He was also featured as one of the “15 Canadian Graphic Designers to Follow” by MIJLO, an industry-leading design blog.
