The project
Mughet specializes in outdoor living and more specifically in high-end custom outdoor kitchens. Previously named District BBQ, the new owner decided to change things up and rename the business.
The idea was to remodel the brand and give it an “Old money” vibe without becoming elitist. We introduced the hand-drawn salamander icon, symbolizing the notions of fire and barbecues. A Lily of the valley (Muguet in french) was carefully added to its tail bringing everything together. An elaborate selection of identifiers was then developed to help the brand communicate on all channels. We opted for a dark colour palette to help convey Mughet’s high-end positioning which, naturally, is also reflected in our typography selection.
